During a period that spans over a half-century since the establishment of our company in 1955, we have continued to evolve as a business that specializes in handicraft materials.
In order to meet the various needs of our customers and earn the accolade that "if Yuzawaya doesn't have it you're not going to find it anywhere," we have continued to expand the products that we carry, with large retail shops as our base.
In the past several years, while continuing with the development of downtown retail shops and small retail shops for the purpose of having more customers shop at Yuzawaya, we have exploited all of the latest know-how in order to devote our greatest attention and care to making sure that the assortment of merchandise at our large retail outlets is not noticeably compromised.
Furthermore, in order to more rapidly restock merchandise as based on store sales data, we began operations of our Tochigi Distribution Center in January of 2011. With about 33,000 square meters of space, this Center provides us with a great advantage in that it enables us to sell at the most competitive prices merchandise that is purchased in bulk from suppliers in Japan and overseas. We have 34 retail outlets as of November 2011 and in 2012 will continue to aggressively open new shops to offer our support for the creative activities of handicraft hobbyists nationwide.
In addition, we hope to be of help to the popularization of handicraft hobbies through not only the supply of products but also via the Yuzawaya Art School (a cultural school specializing in handicraft hobbies), the "Yuzawaya Grand Prize Exhibition for Creative Works" (an exhibition of publicly solicited pieces), and the "Yuzawaya Friend Club" (an SNS that links handicraft hobbyists).
